References of specific flavors, aromas, and grape varietal characteristics taken directly from the Wine Folly text, with page numbers referenced: The Wine Folly book refers to Garnacha grapes as Grenache, which is another name for the grapes. On page 117, the book mentions how Garnacha grapes have flavors of strawberry, plum, leather, herbs, and blood orange. Additionally, on page 18, it mentions how Aragon, Spain’s Garnacha wines are typically more fruit forward with higher alcohol content and have red fruit flavors with subtle pink grapefruit and flowers.

Your review: I thought that this wine resembled pomegranate or blackberries, but it has hard to distinguish what flavor it actually had. I also thought it was slightly bitter and left my mouth feeling dry, so there was a decent amount of tannins. I also thought that there was a slight alcohol taste when it went off the tongue.

I did not drink this with food. The bottle actually said it goes good both on its own and with food.
